CARLOS ARMELLA'S & PEDRO GONZALEZ-RUBIO'S FIRST FEATURE AT NFT

CARLOS ARMELLA c.141 Co-directed/Edited and Pedro Gonzalez-Rubio C.143 Co-directed their first feature "TORO NEGRO" (BLACK BULL) and it is being screened at the NFT in October, which Carlos is very pleased about as it is one of his favourite venues.

To date "TORO NEGRO" has won the following awards:
- Horizons Award at San Sebastian Film Festival, 2005 (San Sebastian, Spain)(already
mentioned in an earlier blog)
- Best Film at Morelia International Film Festival 2005 (Morelia, Mexico)
- Audience Award for Best Documentary, and Special Jury Mention for Best Documentary at the Three Continents Film Festival (Nantes, France)
-1st Prize for Best Documentary at Havana Film Festival (Havana, Cuba)

Also, it was screened at several other festivals:
Festival Internacional de Cine Contemporaneo, FICCO 2005 (Mexico City,
Mexico)
Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente, BAFICI 2005 (Buenos Aires, Argentina); Palm Springs Film Festival 2005 (Palm Springs, U.S.A.); Toronto International Film Festival, TIFF 2005 (Toronto, Canada); Rotterdam International Film Festival 2006 (Rotterdam, Netherlands); DocFest 2006 (Munich, Germany); BlackMovie Film Festival (Geneva, Switzerland); Critics' Week at Cannes International Film Festival (Cannes, France); Lima International Film Festival (Lima, Peru); Santiago Festival Internacional de Cine, SANFIC 2006 (Santiago, Chile); Sarajevo International Film Festival 2006 (Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina);

and a few other small festivals...

If you would like to see this film at the NFT it is being screened on Wednesday, 4th October at 8.40pm and Sunday, 15th October at 6.20pm.

TONY HAGGERS FILM "HALF TERM" DOING REALLY WELL


"HALF TERM" Written and Directed by Tony Hagger (C.141)is doing really well at festivals and has just won 1st Place - Best Short at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and he says "again, just missed out on the Grand Prize and Short Oscar Nomination by a vote of 2 to 3". Better luck next time Tony.

Also ACTION/CUT - Finalist (one of 6) Announce winner soon

Best Shorts nominee at Woods Hole Film Festival, USA.

It has also been offered two distribution deals.
