"HALF TERM" WINS 2ND PRIZE AT BERMUDA

"HALF TERM" Tony Hagger's Graduation Film (C.141)has just won 2nd Prize in the Best Short Film Category at The Bermuda Film Festival, 17-25th March 2006.

Tony says:
Here are 2 recent reviews of the film from Bermuda:

www.filmhthreat.com (4,5 stars)

www.filmfestivalstv.com (Gem of BIFF)

Ain't it cool news are also doing a feature on it in the next few weeks.

The film went down very well at Bermuda with audience and international press and one of the two short film jury members, Lia Rinaldo (director of the Atlantic Film Festival), told me it was a serious contender, one of two, and had her vote ( unfortunately after consultation with the other 5 jurors they gave the award and Oscar nomination to the other film in serious contention - "Avatar").

It is painful to have come so close, but there are plenty more festivals with Oscar nomination as the prize, and plenty more near misses I am sure
- that is if we get accepted.

AARON STEWART C. 137 - GREAT NEWS!

Aaron is now professionally known as Aaron Stewart-Ahn. Please see what he has to say below:

April 11th sees the US release on DVD and the iTunes music store of 'Directions' - a longform music video project created for Grammy nominated band Death Cab for Cutie via Atlantic Records. 'Directions' translates every song from the album 'Plans' into music videos; emphasizing creative freedom and directors' visions.
In addition to conceiving the project and producing it, I also directed one of the videos which will screen for free from April 9-16 at
http://www.deathcabforcutie.com/
US based alumni can read about the project in the new issue of Res magazine, likewise stories are available here:
www.spin.com
and here
www.rollingstone.com
There are plans afoot to bring the project to the UK, and festival screenings in Europe, too.
A few weeks ago I won the Plug Independent Music Award for video of the year for my first video, "16 Military Wives" for the band The Decemberists (who you can find on Rough Trade in the UK and Capitol in the US).
