KEMAL AKHTAR'S 4TH TERM FILM ZOHRA WINS BEST FILM



KEMAL AKHTAR'S C.154, 4th Term film ZOHRA, about his Mothers early memories of her arrival in Britain in the 60's, has won BEST FILM at TONGUES ON FIRE FILM FESTIVAL, held in London, 9-31st March 2007.

The judges for the final were Dr Mike Allen, Lecturer in Film at Birkbeck College, Pratibha Parmar, film-maker and producer of "Nina's Heavenly Delights" and Josic Cadoret,
New Talent Co-ordinator at Film London. The judges final decision was as follows:

Best Film - "ZOHRA" by Kemal Akhtar
1st Runner Up - "Flower Girl" by Rajan Khosa
2nd Runner Up - "Those Were the Days" by Mandeep Singh Jutla
