Mark Solomon's Biog
Mark Solomon is a leading editor of animated feature films. Before editing THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX, his credits include CHICKEN RUN, a Golden Globe nominee for Best Picture, and SHREK, winner of the first Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Other credits include SHARK TALE, STUART LITTLE 2, SPIRIT: Stallion of the Cimarron, SPACE JAM, and many others. He has also edited several independent features, including UNBEATABLE HAROLD and DATING GAMES PEOPLE PLAY.
As a writer, Mark contributed a chapter for the book "Transitions: Voices on the Craft of Digital Editing" committing to print for the first time, the unique challenges of editing animated feature films. In documentaries, Mark produced and directed the award-winning Himalayan HealthCare, about a medical trek in Nepal, and produced the American version of Leo Tolstoy (IFEX Films) a Russian language biopic from the Mosfilm Studios.
Currently, Mark lives in London with his wife and daughter, and serves as the interim Head of Editing at the London Film School.
